Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace – One day workshop
From understanding the building blocks of personal wellbeing, to how to recognise and have conversations about changes in other’s mental health, participants will learn how to create a supportive, safe working environment for wellbeing. Evidence-based ways to better support and empower their workforce to improve their own wellbeing and support that of their teams will be provided.
Understanding and Challenging Bias in the Workplace – One day workshop
Framed using the latest research in implicit bias and social science, this workshop offers evidence-based, practical tools to understand and mitigate the influence of bias at work. In an interactive, empowering programme, participants will gain not only insights into the impact of their own bias, but leave feeling empowered to be a stronger ally for others. The aim is for participants to be able to turn their good intentions and values into action to create inclusive environments that embrace diversity.
De-escalation Skills – Four-hour workshop
Understanding how challenging situations arise and how to intervene is an essential skill when working with others. This workshop provides participants with the self-awareness and skills to understand why people’s behaviour escalates and how to identify factors that can lead to challenging situations in the workplace. Participants will learn vital communication skills and responses for de-escalating situations, with the aim of maintaining safe team environments.
ASK About Suicide – Five-hour workshop
Suicide is a significant issue in New Zealand and suicide prevention skills are needed in our workplaces and communities. This workshop has been co-designed by a range of people experienced in suicide, including people with lived experience of suicide distress, and subject matter experts. Participants in this workshop will learn to identify suicide risk and how to respond using our simple ‘ASK’ acronym. As this topic may impact participants personally, we have two facilitators to ensure the wellbeing of those involved. We can also offer this workshop with a pre-workshop online learning module, and a post-workshop knowledge test to help reinforce the learning.
